Shenanigans 1st birthday!

It's about time we celebrated Shenanigans consistantly bringing premiere breaks parties to Wellington featuring earth shattering internationals and solid live music and Local DJ Line up. For Shenanigans 1st Birthday we bring you some of the original Shenanigans DJ's Bryce, Gimpgirl, Dunsta, P-Vans and Sketchy Bastard with special guest DJ Randomplay (Auckland) to warm those winter nights and bring fresh sounds to the floor. This time with stella Shenanigans VJ set by Vmogg.

Troy, the musical

We got a copy of the finished DVD of "Troy, The Musical" today.

Troy is a musical play that has been running down at Wellingtons Circa Theatre for the last month - The Brothers Mogg, (James, Phil and Rowan) True to their "bit-on-the-side" no budget form, worked with actor Aidan Bell to shoot a video of the show for promotional and documentation purposes. Although, naturally theatrical shows such as this should really only be seen live on stage to be truly appreciated, we took a damn good shot at bottling the colorful performances of the great cast for immortality.

Aidan managed to scrape together a total of 6 cameras and in the tradition of Lars Von Trier's "Dancer in the Dark*" ...we shot the show in miniDV from 6 random angles and he took the footage and edited together a two DVD video of the show in its entirety. Totally no budget, but totally watchable!

Thanks to Aidan for the oppertunity and congratulations to all the Troy crew for a great live show! The show finishes today but hopefully we will see the show come up again soon!

*okay, so the musical sequences in that film used a little more than 6 random camera angles... more like closer to 100, but still the same premise! :)
